About Us

Balanced Energy Solutions is a small, Portland based consulting and weatherization company owned and operated by Amy & Gregg Robinson. Gregg started Balanced Energy Solutions to create awareness and educate individuals about how the occupants, the materials used to build/improve the home, and the natural environment effect the indoor air quality, comfort, durability and energy use in a dwelling.

Gregg has an extensive background in construction and a strong understanding of building science. Prior to starting Balanced Energy Solutions, Gregg worked for the Energy Star New Homes Program, an Energy Trust of Oregon certification and rebate program for builders that is administered by Conservation Services Group. While on the Energy Star New Homes Program, Gregg assisted in the development of the Energy Performance Score and delivered building science presentations to builders, sub contractors and local technical schools trying to meet program standards.

Amy Robinson has played an integral part in the growth of Balanced Energy Solutions. Over the last year Amy has slowly taken over the day to day operations of the business and relieved Gregg of the office and administrative activities associated with running the company. Recognizing that her strengths lie in business management and Gregg’s in building science and customer relations she recently assumed ownership of the company so that Gregg can put 100% of his energy into providing the high quality of customer service that Balanced Energy Solutions was founded on.

Our goal is to provide excellent customer service by tailoring each project to the needs of each client and their home. All work from consulting to construction is performed by Balanced Energy Solutions. By maintaining a small company we are able to provide a personal experience for each client so that they know exactly who they will be working with from the initial visit to the installation of recommendations, post test and final report.
